Oh, I think it will be a nice light for the gloomy winter months. I've got that light on my anthuriums and they grow great in the winter months so if they keep up as usual in the winter with this light 👍 and I'm sure they will.
This is a sturdy 5 foot tall grow light. It was very simple to assemble, took less than five minutes.
There are four tubes, the first one screws into the large square base. Then just slide the rest of the tubes in order onto the first one. You choose if you want to use all four, or make it a shorter height.
My first grow light, purchased from another company, did not have a light timer, and believe me, that is really inconvenient to have to remember when to turn it on and off. With this one, you just set it once for the desired lighting session, and then it goes off and on automatically. Your choices are 3, 6 , or 9 hours.
A Velcro strip is provided which can be attached to the back of the controller if you want it in a fixed location.
You also choose your Light Spectrum using the controller ( for Seedlings/ Flowering/ or Vegetative)
There are 6 levels of dimming. The temperature of the light is cool to the touch, even after several hours of lighting, and there is very little if any glare to irritate your eyes.
This grow light is made of heavy duty plastic and aluminum, and should hold up very well.
I have not had it long enough to make a judgement on it's effect on my palm plants, but I expect it will do a good job. So far, I have no complaints, it's just what i wanted.
